Terms of Service
Last updated: October 8, 2026 · Effective: October 8, 2026
These terms govern your use of Sereno. By booking a session or using this website, you agree to them.
The short version. Sereno connects you with independent licensed therapists. You book, we match, they come to you. Cancel more than 24 hours ahead and there's no charge. Our conduct policy is absolute: these are licensed, non-sexual therapeutic services, and any request otherwise ends the session immediately with no refund.
1. Agreement
These Terms are between you and Book Sereno LLC ("Sereno," "we," "us"). By using this website, requesting a booking, or receiving a service, you accept them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. Who can use Sereno
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract.
We do not provide services to anyone under 18, and we do not accept bookings on behalf of a minor. This is a firm policy, not a matter of parental consent. If you book a session for someone else, they must also be 18 or over.
You agree that the information you give us, including your name, contact details, and service address, is accurate. We rely on it to send a person to a physical location, so accuracy matters more here than on most websites.
3. What Sereno is
Sereno is a platform that connects clients with independent, licensed massage therapists. Therapists are independent contractors. They are not employees or agents of Sereno.
Therapists set their own availability and service areas, are free to work for others and to accept clients outside Sereno, and may decline any request for any reason without penalty. They provide their own equipment and supplies and control how they perform their professional work, consistent with their licensure.
Sereno verifies credentials, arranges bookings, handles payment, and sets the rates shown on this site. Sereno does not direct the clinical content of any session.
4. Booking is a request until we confirm it
Submitting the booking form creates a request, not a confirmed appointment. Your session is confirmed only when we tell you it is and identify your therapist. Until then, please don't rely on the time.
If we can't match you, we'll tell you and release any payment hold.
5. Pricing
Session rates are published on this site and are the same across the areas we serve. There are no travel fees. The published price covers your provider coming to you, whatever the distance within their service area. Where sales or transaction tax applies to a session, it is included in the price you are shown; you will not see tax added at the end. Gratuity is customary, typically 20 to 30 percent, and goes wholly to your provider. Sereno takes no part of it.
We may change prices, but the price quoted when you confirm is the price for that session.
5b. Membership
Membership costs $150 per month, billed on the date you join and on that date each month thereafter. It includes one 60 minute session each month and applies member pricing to every additional session while the membership is active.
Minimum term is one month. After that you may cancel at any time, with no notice period and no cancellation fee. Cancelling stops future billing. Months already billed are not refunded, whether or not the included session was used.
Unused sessions roll over. They accumulate, and billing continues monthly while the membership is active. Sessions you have accumulated remain available to you after cancellation. If the card on your account expires, new sessions cannot be booked and the membership is paused until a current card is added; sessions already banked are kept.
Expiry. Each banked session is kept for twelve months from the month it was added, used or not, and then expires. We will tell you at least 30 days before that happens, at the address on your account, so you have a chance to book.
Accumulated sessions are a membership benefit. They are not a gift certificate, not stored value, and cannot be redeemed for cash. Where the law of your state gives you greater rights than this section, that law applies instead.
You may book sessions for other people using your membership, and your member rate applies. Each recipient completes their own identity verification before their first session.
Members receive priority when more than one client requests the same provider and time.
6. Payment
Identity verification. Before your first session you must complete a one time identity check: a government issued ID and a short video confirming your face matches it. This is carried out by our identity partner. Sereno receives the result, not the document. Bookings will not be dispatched to a provider without it.
Payment is processed by our third-party payment processor. By booking, you authorize us to place a hold on the card you have saved when your session is confirmed, or in the week before it, and to capture that hold when the session is complete, plus any gratuity you choose to add and any cancellation fee under section 8. A hold reserves the amount; nothing is taken until the session has happened. If a hold cannot be placed you will be told and the session is not confirmed until the card is put right. If you choose to pay at booking, that payment is taken then.
Sereno never receives or stores your full card number.
7. Getting ready for your session
You agree to provide:
- A safe, clean, private space with roughly 7 by 4 feet of clear floor.
- Accurate access details, gate codes, unit numbers, parking.
- Reasonable control of pets during the session.
- An environment free of intoxication, illegal drug use, and weapons.
- Any other adult present being aware of and comfortable with the appointment.
If a therapist arrives and the space is unsafe, inaccessible, or materially different from what you described, they may decline to work and the session is treated as a late cancellation.
8. Cancellations and no-shows
| More than 24 hours before | No charge |
| 4 to 24 hours before | 50% of the session |
| Less than 4 hours, or no-show | Full session |
A no-show means the therapist arrives and cannot access you or the location within 15 minutes.
If your therapist cancels, you are charged nothing and may rebook, take a full refund, or accept a credit. We take therapist cancellations seriously and track them.
9. Conduct, this one is absolute
Sereno provides licensed, non-sexual therapeutic services only. Any request for sexual services, any deliberate exposure, any nudity beyond standard professional draping, and any harassment of or inappropriate conduct toward a therapist will end the session immediately.
Where that happens: you are charged the full session, your account is permanently closed, and we may report the incident to law enforcement. There is no appeal and no refund.
Therapists may end a session at any time if they feel unsafe or if this section is breached. We will support that decision every time.
10. Health, and what massage is not
Massage therapy is not medical care and is not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment by a licensed medical provider. Nothing on this site is medical advice.
Sereno does not collect health information and does not ask you for any. You agree to tell your provider directly, at your session, about injuries, conditions, pregnancy, medications, allergies, and anything else that could affect your safety. Some conditions make massage inadvisable, and your provider may decline or modify a session on their professional judgment.
If you have a medical condition, please check with your doctor before booking.
11. Assumption of risk
Massage involves physical contact and carries some risk, including temporary soreness. By booking, you confirm you're doing so voluntarily and accept the ordinary risks of receiving massage from a licensed professional.
Nothing in this section limits any right you have that cannot be limited under the law of your state, including claims for gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
12. Limits on our liability
Therapists are independent contractors responsible for their own professional conduct, and each carries their own professional liability insurance.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Sereno's total liability arising from any session is limited to the amount you paid for that session. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Nothing here limits liability for anything the law does not permit us to limit, including our own gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Sereno against claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the service, or conditions at your location that you failed to disclose.
14. Property and damage
Therapists take reasonable care in your space. Report any damage within 24 hours so we can address it. Please secure valuables, as you would with any professional working in your home.
15. Our content
The Sereno name, site, text, images, and design are ours or licensed to us. Please don't copy or reuse them without permission. Therapist photographs and biographies are published with consent and may not be reproduced elsewhere.
16. Disputes
Talk to us first. Most problems are solved by talking. Before starting any formal proceeding, email us at info@booksereno.com describing the problem and what you would like us to do. We will do the same for you. Give us 30 days to resolve it.
If that does not work, either of us may bring the dispute in a court of competent jurisdiction in the state named below. Either of us may also bring a claim in small claims court, which is usually the faster and cheaper route for the kinds of amounts involved here.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
18. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms; the date at the top will change and continued use means acceptance. We may suspend or close any account that breaches these Terms, immediately in the case of section 9.
19. General
If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stands. Our not enforcing something isn't a waiver of it. These Terms, plus our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us.
