Why Book Sereno exists
I've been a licensed massage therapist for 14 years, and for most of them I've worked the way Sereno works: I drive to you.
I know what that looks like from my side. The table in the back of the car. The setup in a living room while someone moves a coffee table and apologizes for the mess, which is never actually a mess. The moment near the end of a session when someone's breathing changes and you know they've finally let go of whatever they walked in carrying. It is a beautiful thing to watch someone go from stressed to peaceful in an hour.
What I also know is how hard it is for someone to find me. If you want a massage at home, you're mostly on your own. You search, and what comes back is a mix of real licensed professionals and people with a website, with no obvious way to tell them apart. So most people give up and drive to a spa, or they don't book at all, and the ones who take a chance are often nervous about who's about to knock. That isn't a small thing. You're letting a stranger into your home.
It runs the other way too, and nobody talks about that part. I've walked into houses not knowing who was inside. Every therapist I know has a story she doesn't tell clients.
So I built the thing I wanted on both sides of that door. Every provider on Sereno has a license I verified with the state board, not one they told me about. Current liability insurance. A background check. A signed conduct standard we actually enforce. And every client is a verified name, a confirmed number, and a real card on file before anyone is sent anywhere.
Who this is for
For the person who wants the quality of a good spa without the drive, the parking, the lobby, and the hour of their day it costs on either end. Who would rather finish a session and stay exactly where they are.
For the people whose lives don't fit a spa's hours. New parents. Shift workers. People recovering from something. People hosting guests who want to give them something better than a gift basket.
And for the therapists. A good massage therapist can earn a living and still spend most of their week finding clients, chasing payment, and explaining their rates. Sereno is built so the work is the job. Providers are paid a flat, competitive rate, keep every dollar of gratuity, and are paid within two hours of finishing a session.
What we're building toward
The goal is to make in-home wellness something you can book without a leap of faith, anywhere we operate. That means the same standard in every city: the same verification, the same published prices, the same conduct policy, the same people you'd be glad to open the door to.
Massage is where we started because it's what I know. It isn't where this stops. The same standard should apply to whoever comes to your door, whatever they're bringing, and that is what the company is being built to carry.
The prices are published, the same for everyone, in every city we serve. No quotes, no haggling at your front door, no wondering whether you got the fair rate. A platform that squeezes the person doing the work ends up with nobody good left to send. I have worked for people who would not pay properly for good work. I am not building that.
What I want is simple. I want you to open the door already relaxed, because you knew who was coming. And I want the person on the other side of it to feel exactly the same way.

What we believe
Three things we won't bend on
Licensed, always
Every provider's license is verified against the state board before their first booking, and re-checked before it expires. Not self-reported. Not "on file." Verified.
Priced plainly
Our rates are published. Same in every city we serve, same at 8am and 8pm. No quotes, no surge, no negotiating at your front door.
Safe on both sides of the door
Clients deserve to know exactly who is coming in. Therapists deserve to know whose home they're walking into. We verify in both directions.
Our standard
What every Sereno provider clears before their first booking
- State license verification. Checked against the issuing board in the state where they practice, and re-verified before expiry.
- Professional liability insurance. Current, at minimum $1M per occurrence / $3M aggregate, naming Sereno as an additional insured.
- Background check. Completed and reviewed before any client contact.
- Professional conduct standard. Signed. Sereno provides licensed, non-sexual therapeutic services only, and that is enforced, not merely stated.
- Continuing education. Kept current as their license requires.
If a credential lapses, the calendar closes. A provider whose license or insurance expires stops receiving bookings automatically, it isn't left to anyone's memory.
